[Chimera-users] euler angle

Hi Jim,

Chimera does not output Euler angles. The "measure rotation" command
(e.g. me rot #0 #1) will report to the Reply Log the relative position
of two models as a 3 by 4 matrix (3 by 3 rotation plus a translation
vector), and also reports as a rotation about an axis through a
specified point and shift along that axis. Euler angles only would
handle the rotation, not the relative translation between two maps. We
don't use them because there is more than one convention defining Euler
angles and we haven't seen much need. What software do you want to use
that takes them as input?

     Tom
