[Chimera-users] hardware stereo switching between distal and proximal when rotating

Hi,

By switching between distal and proximal views do you mean that the
left and right eye images are switching from front to back and back
again in sequential stereo when the model is rotated? Are you using a
Quadro 1400, 3400/3450, or 4000 and stereo on CRT? If so you might be
having the same problem I had :

One solution that worked for us was to downgrade the nvidia driver to
the very old version 100.14.23. This was basically the last driver
that nvidia released before making a large version jump to 169.xx . We
tried much newer versions of the driver as well as nvidia's legacy
driver but all exhibited the same issue except for the 100.xx series
which still seem to work with CENTOS5/RHEL5 kernels which was good. We
also could not duplicate this issue with other apps like MOE or Pymol.

I haven't tried Greg's command yet.
