[Chimera-users] register file extension .xmp for volume data

Hi Dieter,

   I added the ".xmp" file suffix for Spider to Chimera.  Will be in 
tonight's daily builds.  If you want to change your current Chimera to 
have this you can edit file

     chimera/share/VolumeData/fileformats.py

changing line

   ('SPIDER volume data', 'spider', ['spider'], ['spi'], False),

to

   ('SPIDER volume data', 'spider', ['spider'], ['spi','xmp'], False),

   In Chimera 1.5 when opening a file type with an unrecognized suffix 
the dialog that appears to let you choose the file type has a 
check-button "Use this type for remainder of unknown selected files".  
This should allow you to open many files of the same type without having 
to choose the file type for each one.
