[Chimera-users] Some problem with volume coloring

Hi Alex,

  Not sure what you mean.  After coloring the volume contour surface you 
can save the Chimera session with File / Save Session As....  Then you 
can reshow this volume and coloring in a later Chimera session with File 
/ Restore Session....

  None of the volume data file formats (MRC, CCP4, BRIX, ...) save 
coloring information.  Sometimes "mask" files are used to delimit 
separate regions.  Chimera currently does not support masks.  Otherwise 
the common approach is to split parts of a volume into separate files.  
You can do that with the Split Map button on the Color Zone dialog then 
use the volume dialog menu entry File / Same Map As... to save the 
resulting maps.
