The hardware stereo support currently in chimera is for workstation
graphics cards, like the NVidia Quadro and ATI FireGL series. The NVidia
GeForce cards, like the 7900GS, only support fullscreen stereo after you
install the Consumer 3D Stereo driver (you may need to downgrade your
driver to match the stereo driver version).

I am working on adding fullscreen stereo support (it will be in the next
production release and maybe some snapshots before that), but we still
have to figure out the user interface ramifications -- a second screen for
all of the dialogs would be helpful. Please send me email if you're
interesting in doing beta testing of fullscreen stereo.
