[Chimera-users] Chimera crash on SGI

Hi Jean-Fracois,
If Chimera is crashing your SGI when using solid volume display this
is almost surely a problem with your graphics driver. Are you using
the IRIX operating system? Which version? Our documentation claims
that IRIX 6.5.10 is needed but it may be that a more recent version is
actually necessary to avoid the system crash you observe.
If you are using an SGI Octane or similar vintage machine I would
recommend you find a Windows, Mac, or Linux alternative since the
graphics speed will be much better with a consumer graphics card.
